SYTYCD "All Stars"

As you all may already know, this season we will be having 10 "All Stars" in SYTYCD. They will each be dancing with different Top 10 dancers instead of the competitors dancing with each other. While I like the idea, I'm still sad about not having "power couples" such as Benji and Donyelle, Dominic and Sabra, etc. But, this might end up giving some dancers a better chance?

Does anyone have any favorites they would like to see come back? I would love to see Benji Schwimmer, Lacey Schwimmer, Neil Haskell, Sabra Johnson, Dominic a.k.a. D-Trix, Jeanine Mason, Ade Obayomi, Courtney Galiano, Mark Kanemura, Lauren Gottlieb, Hokuto “Hok” Konishi, Melody Lacayanga, Blake McGrath etc. The list goes on ... and on ... and on ... ! Oh, I am kind of excited about this!!!

To date (3/30/10) we only know one "All Star" but I will continue to update this as I find out who they all are!

This Just In: So You Think You Can Dance Gets Its Mia Michaels' Groove Back!

So You Think You Can Dance: One teensy, tiny, kinda crucial bit of information not mentioned in yesterday's SYTYCD preview? Mia Michaels is back, baby! Everyone's favorite judge and choreographer will be back in action this season and reclaiming her throne seat at the judges table.

In case you've blocked out this painful memory, the Emmy winning Michaels departed her SYTYCD gig suddenly last October, devastating fans and contestants alike.

New Rules for 2010!! **Updated Again**

Okay, so it looks like there are going to be some new rules this season according to Nigel's Twitter account. So far, we have learned 3 of them, which include:

1. Only one (1) dancer will leave the show each week instead of two (2);
2. The partners will change every week;
3. This season will NOT have a Top 20;
4. The competitors will no longer choose their genres of dance;
5. We are forming a 'dance-pool' of your favorite dancers from previous Seasons to act as partners for this year's top 10;
6. The dancers will change partners each week picked from an 'All-Star Pool.' Each 'All-star' will be a specialist in specific genres of dance
7. Only the competitors will be judged not the "All-Stars.". America votes for their favorite and one of the bottom three dancers will go home.

So, I'm not sure exactly how I feel about these rules? First of all, how will they pull off sending only one person home each week? Won't that leave someone without a partner? Ugh. I hope this all comes together more clearly soon? I don't like change. I wish they would change that big-ass stage back. I don't like it - it consumes the dancers and it seems less "intimate" to me.

Oh well - as long as I have my show back I will be happy, regardless!! Can't wait!!!

I'm Back!!

Hey everyone! Well, I slacked off a bit towards the end of last season and I apologize. I didn't have too many followers so it was a bit disappointing I guess. Hopefully we can get some more this year and get some comment flow going, huh?

In any event, the show is getting closer (Season Premier on May 27th) so I thought I would start recruiting some more followers and start filling you in on the new gossip and maybe even some old gossip so stay tuned ... you might learn a few things!!
